In order to make a website, you will need some things before we start, most notably:
- Hosting: this is where you will place your files. Examples are bluehost or godaddy.com. This will cost about $100-$200 per year, depending on options.
- Domain: this is your website name, like ‘yourname.com’. This will cost you about $15-$30 a year, depending on options.
- Logo: a company logo, in the correct format (PNG, AI or EPS). A suitable logo has few details, and no more than 3 colors.
- Colors: knowing which colors you will use, often the colors of the logo. Find suitable colors by using a color wheel.
- Fonts: A heading font, and a body font. You can reuse the logo font, if available. Beware that fonts are copyrighted, and free fonts can sometimes lack basic characters. If you wish to search for complete, free fonts yourself you can do so at fonts.google.com.
